Details

Sweating results in water loss as well as sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Significant sweating, such as after racing or travelling in hot weather results in a considerable loss of these important electrolytes. Providing only water to the horse will result in dilution of the remaining blood salts, making the need for electrolytes even greater. Important enzymes such as creatine kinase will be lost from the muscles as a result of damage caused by loss of electrolytes and dehydration. Creatine Kinase found in the blood circulation is one of the early indicators of azoturia. ProLytePlus Powder is a soluble electrolyte powder which may be dissolved in drinking water or mixed with feed. It provides essential electrolytes with a natural buffer to help maintain the natural acid balance of the gut. Dextrose, Ginger and a natural sweetener help to replenish blood glucose levels and ensure palatability even by fussy feeders. ProLytePlus will bring the electrolytes back into balance, therefore helping to delay fatigue during exercise, and speed the horse??s recovery afterwards. It is an essential part of a horse??s training regime as electrolytes should be fed everyday to horses in hard work. Suitable for: All horses in hard work Package size: 3kg & 7kg Feeding Rates: up to 110g following heavy sweating
