Linseed oil is also proven to help maintain skin health in horses susceptible to summer skin irritations Parsley oil is rich in Vitamin C, Copper and Iron and is known for its beneficial effects in maintaining digestive function. ALL YEAR ROUND HEALTH AND VITALITY Garlic is one of the most well-known and widely used herbs in equine nutrition, with many well known benefits. Garlic oil is believed to be fresher and more readily available than a powder or granule equivalent and is also easier to mix into a feed for fussy eaters. Garlic is rich in sulphur-containing compounds known to help maintain healthy skin and coat condition, as well as deterring flies and lice. Soya and linseed oil provide a balance of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. An appropriate balance between these two families of the fatty acids in the diet can help maintain skin and respiratory health as well as immune and joint function. Parsley is reputed to have a calming action as well as a digestive tonic.
