HOW IT WORKS Joint wear and tear is an inevitable consequence of training, or simply advancing years. Joint structures, protected by a layer of cartilage, effectively act as shock absorbers to concussion. Cartilage is constantly being renewed and maintaining its structure is essential to continued flexibility and strength of a joint. A previous injury, old age or an increase in stress imposed on a joint, can result in a greater requirement for certain nutritive building blocks needed to maintain the normal structure and turnover of cartilage. Glucosamine supports cartilage renewal and collagen manufacture. It also inhibits cartilage-degrading enzymes in order to maintain normal cartilage turnover. MSM provides an organic form of sulphur which is an important constituent in the structure of collagen, providing vital strength within tendons, ligaments and joints. Grapeseed has very strong antioxidant properties and is reputed to rival vitamin C and E in potency. Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant, maintains the body??s ability to manage undesirable free radicals, thus helping to maintain joint integrity. Vitamin C is also required for the normal synthesis and stabilization of collagen.
