Our Team

Hannah Wild (née Crook), Founder. (B.Sc(Hons) Equine Science) E-SQP

Hannah (pictured left) launched Supplement Solutions in 2004, and has developed the business into the UK’s leading online equine supplement specialist. In 2007 she was awarded BIBA “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” and was runner up in 2009 BIBA "Business Woman of the Year".

Working in the equine and veterinary industry previously, she noticed that many equine and pet shops did not stock all the ranges of supplements available on the market. In addition, working full time meant that she struggled to buy supplements as her local tack shop was closed after working hours. Taking the plunge she launched www.supplementsolutions.co.uk aiming to provide an informative website with a wide range of supplements (and sizes) at affordable prices, and 24 hr shopping. She has been determined to be a specialist in the field of supplements (and healthcare) with excellent product knowledge and maintain efficiency in dispatch of orders.

Hannah graduated from Bishop Burton College with an equine degree and has been involved with horses all her life. She was an active member of Lancaster Pony Club and has ridden from an early age. She has competed in British Eventing Horse Trials for the last 15 years with many different horses, reaching intermediate level on her best horse "Rocketman". Due to business commitments Hannah had a 2 year break from competiting, but has now discovered a new type of eventing. Hannah bought "Millie", a cheeky Welsh Section D, to play with but has found that dispite being 14.1hh she is just as good (if not better & more fun!) than the big boys. In 2009 she evented Millie and was placed on nearly every outing at BE90 & BE100! Pictured left: "Millie" winning combined training at Vale of Lune".

Corinne Metcalfe. MSC Animal Manipulation, B.Sc.(Hons) Equine Sports Science

Corinne graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2005 with a BSc in Equine Sports Science. During her university career she spent time working on a variety of yards, including eventing, racing and also the well known Thoroughbred stud "Juddmonte Farms". She later went on to spend 3 more years within the Thoroughbred industry, retraining ex racehorses at The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre in Lancashire.

Corinne has had horses of her own for most of her life, regularly hunting and competing in local dressage and SJ competitions. She currently has an 8yr old ex point-to-point mare that she has retrained and has started eventing (Pictured right riding Grace at Askham Bryan Horse Trials).

After graduating Corinne went on to study for a Masters degree in Animal Manipulation, qualifying as a McTimoney Animal Therapist in 2009.

She now combines her work at Supplement Solutions with her practice as a McTimoney Animal Therapist.

Through working at Supplement Solutions, Corinne has access to a wide range of products which she feeds to her horses and many of the horses that she treats with some great results. Please feel free to e-mail Corinne.

Elizabeth White, B.A. (Hons) Combined Honours in Arts

Elizabeth graduated from Durham University in 2010 with a BA in Combined Honours in Arts. Her degree programme combined the study of English, Spanish, Business and Psychology. She was also awarded an A in French at A-level, making her an ideal contact for our international customers.

Throughout her education, Elizabeth juggled her academic career with working on a variety of riding school, livery, dressage and event yards. Her last placement was as working pupil to Irish event rider Louise Lyons.

Elizabeth has competed in a number of local dressage, showjumping and cross-country competitions. Six years ago, she bought an Irish Cob X French Trotter, Paddy (pictured right), with whom she will never part! The pair has undergone training in all three phases of eventing. However, due to previous academic commitments, Paddy has only been lightly competed. Elizabeth now hopes to increase Paddy’s competition mileage, with an ultimate view of eventing at affiliated level.

Katie Hest, B.Sc. (Hons) Equine Science

Katie graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2010 with a BSc in Equine Science. Whilst studying for her degree, her interest in equine nutrition grew, culminating in the study of advanced equine nutrition and the completion of a nutrition-based dissertation. The link between nutrition and the incidence of laminitis became an area of particular interest for Katie, and she hopes to return to university to complete a PhD on the subject in the future.

Throughout her education, Katie worked on a number of different yards, including riding schools and rehabilitation centres. She finally went on to work at Fables Stud – Dressage specialists and Warmblood breeders in Surrey, where she handled stallions, broodmares and foals. Here, she witnessed first-hand the importance of correct nutrition, particularly in broodmares and youngstock, and the nutritional issues associated with both breeding and competition.

During university, Katie joined the riding club and loaned horses from friends during the holidays. In March 2011 she made a “spur of the moment” decision and bought Murphy, a 17 year old Irish Cob whom she has known for over ten years! They spent the summer hacking in the Surrey sunshine and getting reacquainted, and now plan to “up the tempo” and compete in local dressage and combined training events in the future.
