Stacey Cook - Show Jumper from Cambridgeshire
Stacey Cook, is a 30 year-old Show Jumper who competes up to 1.40m nationally, and has placings up to 1.35m 2* internationally. A championship winner at both Junior & Senior level; she has trained with some of the top Show Jumpers in the country. Stacey, who was selected onto the BS Step up to Gold Programme, also runs her own yard in Upwell, Cambridgeshire. From this base she trains her horses and has brought many of her string on from scratch and onto the international scene. Stacey also teaches, as well as providing schooling and competition livery and – as if that wasn’t enough(!) - Stacey has a small breeding program underway to develop her string for the future.
Having become a mother last year, Stacey describes life with a little one, four horses and a business as “a good juggling act”! Luckily, she has a very supportive family who help to make it all possible, plus it helps that Daisy, Stacey’s one-year-old daughter, loves being outside with the horses too!

Lola - A 10-year-old chestnut mare, bred by Stacey, who has a very quirky personality and thinks she rules the yard. She is a Grade B Show Jumper, jumping up to 1.35m.
Griff - A 16.3hh 13-year-old bay gelding who is a Grade A, jumping 1.30m currently, but has jumped up to 1.40m. Griff came to Stacey virtually unbacked as a 5-year-old so Stacey has spent time producing him slowly and carefully.
Kitty - This 12-year-old chestnut mare has been with Stacey since she was broken. A total sweetheart on the ground, Kitty lives up to her name. She may be small, but she sure makes up for it with talent! Kitty is currently jumping up to 1.20m.
Rosie - Stacey's broodmare Rosie, who is mum to Lola, is an 18-year-old Selle Francais, who has just had her fourth and final foal. When Rosie was five, she won the 5-year-old Grand Prix at the Arena UK Festival with Stacey.
Goals for 2019 and beyond
Stacey achieved her goal of qualifying for HOYS this year and is busy preparing for the event. Following that, she is looking at moving her horses up to 1.40m classes and aiming to reach international shows in 2020.
Next year, Stacey will also have a small string of young horses to bring on and is aiming for age classes and British Novice/Discovery 2nd rounds and finals.
