Lincoln Herbs Valerian Cordial (Equine)
Beneficial for nervous and excitable horses and for those that respond to environmental stimuli. Please note valerian is no longer permitted to be used in competition.
What is Valerian?
Valeriana officinalis is a plant found in parts of Asia and Europe, that is known for it's sedative effects. Although not fully understood, it is though that the plant acts on the GABA receptors in the brain, inducing a mild, sedative effect. This is why Valerian is now banned by the FEI and Jockey Club.
How is Valerian Cordial used?
Simply add two teaspoons into the horse's feed daily. For fussy easters, introduce gradually.

| Instructions for use | Introduce to the diet slowly. Ideally feed prior to the horse becoming anxious. Add to the daily feed at the following rates: Ponies under 300kg = 5ml Horses between 300kg & 600kg = 10ml Horses over 600kg = 15ml |
