Cavalor SoZen (Equine)
Cavalor SoZen is the natural solution to stress. It calms and relaxes hot or nervous horses.
Horses that are nervous by nature are subjected to chronic stress coupled with excessive adrenaline and cortisol production.
Cavalor SoZen’s unique approach lies in its response to the imbalance between cortisol and adrenaline. This versatile approach is highly effective in horses that show too little response to, or have a high tolerance for, products based solely on tryptophan.
Many sport horses perform below their ability because they are stressed and not able to focus on the competition. Stress, nervousness, panic, lack of concentration, are descriptions for a very complex problem. There is still no universal effective way of fully calming horses without using sedation (not allowed during competition!) while at the same time increasing their concentration to the maximum. By obtaining more insight in the complexity of the problem, Cavalor has managed to develop Cavalor SoZen. This is the first equine supplement that works on the Adrenaline - Cortisol balance. Cavalor found out that stress is caused by long periods of tension. Stress will unbalance the hormonal system, by producing too much Adrenaline and too little Cortisol. The more the adrenaline - cortisol balance is disturbed, the greater the impact of a tension moment will be.
What is the difference between Cavalor Calm, Cavalor SoZen & Cavalor Take It Easy? Cavalor Calm is developed for the "spooky" horse. These horses tend to be more easily scared. Studies in the field demonstrated that Cavalor Calm also has a positive result on the behavior of nervous stallions. While Cavalor Calm can be given for a prolonged period, we advise a 10-day non-supplementing period every month. Cavalor Take It Easy gives your horse a relatively high dose of tryptophane that will give quick results. Cavalor Take It Easy is a paste, given with a syringe the day of the stressful situation.
Should I always combine Cavalor SoZen with Cavalor Take It Easy? No, combining SoZen with Take It Easy is not mandatory. However, experiences in the field suggest that the combination of the two supplements result in an optimal effect. Each product works on different causes of stress.
Cavalor SoZen contains: Cavalor SoZen is a powerful formula consisting of herbs, herbs, and more herbs. This formula’s power is not from the individual herbs it contains, but through their synergistic effects when combined. This special formula contains Ginseng, Humulus Lupulus, Ruta Graveolens, Solidago Virgaurea, Hypericum Perforatum, Urtica dioica and Glycyrrhiza Glabra. It also contains added magnesium and tryptophan to promote relaxation. The herbs influence the adrenal glands, regulating the endocrine system and restoring balance between adrenaline (for alertness) and cortisol (control of adrenaline). They also help to promote relaxation and concentration. This not only addresses the effects of stress, it also helps lower stress in nervous horses.

| Instructions for use | When using Cavalor® SoZen, it is important that a starting dose of 30 g per day be sustained for 10 days. The horse usually becomes more anxious between days 4 and 6 of this period. Nevertheless, it is essential that you continue administering the product. It is a sign that the body is responding to the ingredients and that the product will work. After this 10-day start-up period, you can administer 20 g of Cavalor® SoZen daily as maintenance for nervous horses or you can start supplementing 3 days before the competition and adjust the dosage as needed. 1 scoop equals 10 g. Maximum of 60 g per horse per day. TIP: If you have not administered Cavalor® SoZen for over 4 months, repeat the start-up period. TIP: For stress peaks during stressful events, Cavalor® SoZen can be supplemented by Cavalor® Take It Easy (Forte). |
