Eraquell is a broad spectrum horse wormer capable of treating multiple-species infestations, including roundworms, lungworms and bots. This product should be used in early and late summer alongside Equimax for year-round parasite control. One gel is sufficient to treat a horse up to 700kg, if your horse is bigger than this you will need another gel, or use the Eraquell tabs which treat up to 800kg. Eraquell is an ivermectin based horse wormer for the treatment and control of important internal parasites, including roundworms, lungworms and bots.
What does Eraquell treat?
Eraquell oral gel, at the recommended dosage level, provides effective control of the following parasites of horses and ponies:- Large Strongyles

- Large-mouth stomach worms
- Lungworms

When should Eraquell be used?
Eraquell should be used in early and late summer, alongside Equimax in spring and autumn and a treatment for encysted small redworms over the winter months, to provide a complete year round parasite control programme for all types of horses and ponies, including pregnant and lactating mares, and foals over two weeks of age.

Instructions for use | Eraquell oral gel for horses is given by mouth at the recommended dose rate. Each syringe division delivers sufficient paste to treat 100kg of bodyweight. The syringe delivers sufficient paste to treat 700kg bodyweight at the recommended dose rate. The horse’s weight should be accurately determined to ensure use of the correct dose of product. Use of a scale or weigh tape is recommended to ensure accurate dosing. Before administration adjust the syringe to the calculated dosage by setting the ring on the plunger. The animal’s mouth must be free of food. The syringe should be placed between the front and back teeth and the paste deposited at the base of the tongue. Immediately elevate the head for a few seconds to ensure that the product is swallowed. Treatment is recommended twice a year, in the summer months. Use alongside Equimax in spring and autumn to provide all year round protection from intestinal parasites. |
