This annual worming pack contains 2 x Eqvalan wormer syringes and 2 x Eqvalan Duo wormer syringes, so contains all the wormers you need to keep your horse parasite free all year round! The Eqvalan Duo is for use in spring and autumn, with the Eqvalan for use in early and late summer. Each syringe is sufficient to treat a horse up to 600kg. if you horse weighs more than this you will need an additional paste. What does Eqvalan treat?
Eqvalan paste, at the recommended dose rate, provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites of horses and donkeys:- Large strongyles

- Lungworms
- Pinworms
- Ascarids

- Large-mouth stomach worms
- Neck threadworms
- Stomach bots
When should Eqvalan be used?
Eqvalan should be used in early and late summer, alongside Eqvalan Duo in spring and autumn and a treatment for encysted small redworms over the winter months, to provide a complete year round parasite control programme for all types of horses and ponies, including pregnant and lactating mares, and foals over six weeks of age.What does Eqvalan Duo treat?

When should Eqvalan Duo be used?

| Warnings | Pharmaceutical Precautions: Keep out of the reach of children. Store below 30 degrees celsius. Part-used syringes should be stored below 25 degrees celsius. Following withdrawal of the first dose, used the product within 6 months. • For animal treatment only. • Not to be used in foals under eight weeks of age. • Some horses carrying heavy infection of Onchocerca microfilariae have experienced reactions with swelling and itching after treatment. It is assumed to be the result of death of large numbers of microfilariae. These signs resolve within a few days but symptomatic treatment may be advisable. Dogs and Cats may be adversely affected by the concentration of ivermectin in this product, if they are allowed to ingest spilled paste or have access to used syringes. • As ivermectin is extremely dangerous to fish and aquatic life, treated animals should not have access to surface water and ditched during treatment. • Wash hands after use. • Avoid eye contact. • Do not smoke or eat while handling this product. Withdrawal Period:Horses may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 35 days from the last treatment. Container Disposal: Any unused product or waste material should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements. Ivermectin is EXTREAMELY DANGEROUS TO FISH AND AQUATIC LIFE. Do not contaminate surface water or ditches with the product or used containers. |

| Instructions for use | Eqvalan/Eqvalan Duo oral paste for horses is given by mouth at the recommended dose rate. Each syringe division delivers sufficient paste to treat 100kg of bodyweight and a full syringe delivers sufficient paste to treat 600kg bodyweight at the recommended dose rate. The horse’s weight should be accurately determined to ensure use of the correct dose of product. Use of a scale or weigh tape is recommended to ensure accurate dosing. Before administration adjust the syringe to the calculated dosage by setting the ring on the plunger. The animal’s mouth must be free of food. The syringe should be placed between the front and back teeth and the paste deposited at the base of the tongue. Immediately elevate the head for a few seconds to ensure that the product is swallowed. |
