Prince Fluffy Kareem is a UK charity which helps working horses, donkeys and camels in Cairo, Egypt. They work with low-income owners that are often sold underweight, injured or sick horses, and are forced to work these horses to pay off their debts. Their low income means that access to good veterinary care and farriers is extremely restricted, and the horses are generally fed on chaff and yellow corn as hay is not sold locally.
Prince Fluffy Kareem works very hard with the local population to educate them about the correct diet and care of their horses. They also offer medical treatment and care to any horses that need it at their base, Fluffyland. Horses and donkeys can stay for as long as they need to, and are either returned to their owners when healthy and strong again, or are bought by PFK and retired to live happily as pets if too injured to return to work. Horses that are too injured to have any quality of life are humanely euthanised.
