Laura Swinnerton - Eventer from Gloucester

Laura (pictured right) is an amateur event rider originally from Scotland but now living in Gloucester. Laura works full time at an Equine Veterinary practice to fund her passion of competing at affiliated and international level across the UK. Laura competes Sorcha II (Molly) at BE Intermediate and CCI** level, aiming to step up to Advanced this year.

As well as eventing, Laura competes in pure showjumping up to 1.35m and dressage at Medium level. In recent years Laura has been lucky enough to have jumped at the Scottish Horse of the Year Show, the Royal Highland Show and at Bramham in the HOYS Grade C Qualifier. Laura has been a Supplement Solutions customer for 11 years and says: "I have always had a fantastic level of service and super quick delivery from Supplement Solutions, it is always easier to promote a company, product or service that you believe in!".

Quick Facts:

Molly - Also known as Sorcha II, which means 'Brilliance' in Irish. Molly is a 12 year old 16.2hh Irish Sports Horse. Together they are short-listed for the CIC** GBR Team for the European Championships in the Netherlands this year.

Gali - Gali was bought as an unbroken 3 year old with Laura's student loan! He is sadly now retired following colic surgery.

Aims for 2015:

Selection for CIC** GBR Team for European Championships in August. Laura would also like to step up to Advanced level and achieve qualification for 3* level.

Supplements fed:

Protexin Equine Premium Gut Balancer, Kossolian Blood Salts, NAF Vitamin E & Selenium, Dodson & Horrell Electrolytes

Holly Colgate Hardaway - Dressage rider from Surrey

Holly (pictured left) is a 22 year old dressage rider from Surrey. She runs a competition livery yard alongside her Mum; Zoe Colgate and has competed to PSG. Holly currently has four horses and works as head girl at Colgate Dressage so it is all go! For the past three years Holly has been a member of the Southern Region A squad and captain of the team. Her competition achievements include competing at the Winter and Summer regional up to Medium and competing at the Winter Championships at Elementary. Holly also won her first two PSG affiliated competitions, giving her Group 3 rider status.

Holly's love of music and dance has led her to start a business in the dressage to music industry creating floor plans and putting music together for those wanting to compete in Freestyle. She has put together music from Prelim to Grand Prix and enjoys the challenges involved with this. As she says, "You can dance with your best friend at any level!".

Quick Facts:

Maizy - An 11 year old black Warmblood mare who is due to pe put in foal with Uthopia this summer.

Ruby - Ruby looks as if she should be Maizy's twin as she is another black Warmblood mare. Holly rides Ruby for Candover Stud and she is a very exciting prospect with a big, elevated natural movement.

Lorenzo - An 8 year old Warmblood, belonging to Holly's Mum. He is a big horse at 17.2hh but is lovely to ride and is proving very trainable! He is currently schooling at Elementary at home

Rowley - Belongs to a livery at Colgate Dressage and Holly has been given the ride. He is a 19 year old Warmblood who has been there and got the t-shirt, TWICE!

Aims for 2015:

Put Maizy in foal and qualify for Summer regionals with Ruby and Rowley. Represent BYRDS Southern Team at Shepgate U25's championship.

Supplements fed:

Dodson & Horrell Equi-Bites, Equine America Cortaflex, Equine America Apple Lytes, Equine America Magnitude, NAF Five Star Liquid Magic and Instant Syringes, KM Elite Ultimate Oil

Stacey Nichols - Show Jumper from Cambridgeshire

Stacey (pictured right) is a 26 year old show jumper and producer from Cambridgeshire. She had her first Championship win at 14 and since then has built herself a succesful business and an exciting string of horses. Stacey has competed nationally and internationally and was based in Suffolk, with show jumper and Philip Spivey, for 6 months. In this time she was lucky enough to compete in France. Philip is also her trainer and she continues to train with him on her team of young horses.

Stacey currently owns 6 horses, three of which are homebred. 80% of her yard is British bred and she is actively breeding her own string, looking to put Rosie back in foal this year. In addition to this she will be breaking in Gizmo, the youngest member of her team, who gained a BEF Futurity First Premium in 2013. In addition to Stacey's already busy schedule she is getting married in October, so is fitting her competition plans around that.

Quick Facts:

Lola - A 6 year old chestnut mare, bred by Stacey, who has a very quirky personality and thinks she rules the yard. She is currently competing at Foxhunter.

Enzo - Stacey's first homebred horse is a 7 year old KWPN. He very nearly didn't make it into the world as his Mum had colic surgery whilst 4 months pregnant with him, so he's a bit of a miracle!

Griff - A 16.3hh 9 year old bay gelding who finished 6th in the National Discovery Championship 2013. Griff came to Stacey virtually unbacked as a 5 year old so Stacey has spent time producing him slowly and carefully.

Kitty - This 8 year old chestnut mare has been with Stacey since she was broken. A total sweetheart on the ground, Kitty lives up to her name. She may be small but she sure makes up for it with talent!

Gizmo - The youngest member of Stacey's team, a rising 3 year old bay gelding, who is full brother to Lola. He was born on Stacey's birthday in 2012 and gained a BEF Futurity First Premium in 2013.

Rosie - Stacey's broodmare Rosie is a 14 year old Selle Francais and is the Mum to Lola and Gizmo. When Rosie was 5 she won the 5 year old Grand Prix at the Arena UK Festival with Stacey.

Aims for 2015:

Attend the international shows in the UK (the first is at the end of April!), jump the HOYS qualifiers this Summer and to jump round some 1.40ms.

Supplements fed:

Lexvet Mineral Mix, Maxavita MaxaCalm, Global Herbs Hocks, Protexin Equine Premium Quick Fix

Emily Proud - Eventer from Somerset

Emily (pictured left) is a 20 year old event rider from Somerset. Emily started riding at an early age and qualified for her first HOYS at the age of 9! She was then qualified and placed every year at HOYS until she made the move to eventing. As much as Emily enjoyed showing, her Dad was quick to remind her that she couldn't win an Olympic Gold Medal showing!

Emily forged a name for herself on two talented ponies, Nemo and Hoodie. With Nemo she won the Burghley Event Pony Title, National Schools Eventing final and won Aldon 3 Day Event on Hoodie, qualifying for the Badminton Grassroots Championships in 2013. This year she has four horses to compete including Schmaul who has qualified for the Badminton Grassroots Championships 2015 so we look forward to cheering them on at Emily's second visit to the Championships! Emily has produced her young horses and currently juggles competing and riding with studying for a Physiotherapy degree, this means lots of late night schooling and early starts. But it's totally worth it!

Quick Facts:

Schmaul - An 8 year old ISH who secretly wants to be a racehorse! His favourite thing is galloping reallly fast and obviously getting spoilt. He has been with Emily since a 4 year old. After the Grassroots Championships Emily aims to compete Schmaul consistently at Novice to hopefully qualify for a 1* by the end of the season.

Elzas - Is a total softy and he enjoys spending his spare time playing the recorder which you can see here. If he doesn't make it to Badminton he will definitely make it in the music industry! Elzas is a 6 year old KWPN and at 17hh is definitely a gentle giant.

Locky - Emily's youngest horse at 5 years old is Locky, a Westphalian gelding. He is the newest member of the Proud Eventing team, arriving last November, and is now competing at BE90.

Alfie - Has been part of the team since he was six months old! He was a stallion until he was 13 (unlucky for some!) and during his time as a stallion sired event horses that have competed up to 2* level.

Aims for 2015:

Prepare Schmaul for Badminton 2015, introduce the two babies to British Eventing and hopefully qualify Alfie for Olympia 2015! All whilst keeping them happy and confident.

Supplements fed:

Global Herbs Turmeric, NAF Linseed Oil, Equine America Cortaflex, Equine America Buteless (for Alfie!), Farnam Red Cell, Protexin Equine Premium Gut Balancer
