Feedmark Essentials Activated Charcoal 1.4kg (Equine)

Periodic support to stabilise the digestive tract.

  £29.99

Activated charcoal is the highly adsorbent carbon left after burning coconut husks. This carbon residue is treated to remove impurities and to increase the adsorption quality of the charcoal. Charcoal is used to bind toxins within the digestive tract and remove them safely from the body, as the charcoal itself is not digested. Ideal to feed to horses who have had a sudden diet change, or those that have been gorging on grass/cereals.

Ideal for horses and ponies with excessive flatulence, diarrhoea or bloating. Activated Charcoal can support your horse through a sudden or unexpected diet change, as it binds to toxins within the digestive tract allowing the body to remove them.

Activated Charcoal should be fed until your horse's symptoms improve or for a maximum of 1 week. Activated Charcoal is a periodic supplement and should not be fed on a daily basis long term.

If you are in any doubt about your horse or pony's health or condition a vet should be consulted. Activated Charcoal is not a replacement for veterinary advice.

For a digestive supplement you can feed on a long-term, daily basis, consider BioPro.
