The Original Dog Shampoo Bar is a super mild solid shampoo that leaves the coat feeling smooth, shiny and silky. A gentle shampoo works on the strongest of odours and muddiest of dogs without upsetting the skins natural dermal layer. Enriched with Argan oil and scented with 100% pure essential oils chosen for their suitability of use with dogs. Non-irritant, non-drying, paraben and PEG Free. Ultra mild, 100% soap free, 100% Biodegradable. Vegan.

Our chosen essential oils

Cedar Wood Essential Oil: Derived from the wood and needles of the Himalayan Cedar, ideal as a deodoriser, a natural help to repelling insects, ticks and fleas. The woody fragrance is known to be warm and comforting and said to relax the body and mind, it is thought to reduce stress and ease tension.  Suggested anti-fungal properties lend this much-favoured essential oil to working well with dogs at bath time said to help soothe irritation, inflammation, redness, and itchiness.

Ginger Essential Oil or Ginger Root Oil: Derived from the root of the Zingiber officinale herb, better known as Ginger. The flowering perennial belongs to the plant family that includes Turmeric and Cardamom. Ginger Essential Oil is said to be stimulating and warming. Said to enhance concentration and soothe and reduce feelings of stress. Used topically, it can soothe redness and eliminate bacteria.  It is gentle and restorative as well as offering a warming and comforting aroma.

Vetiver Essential Oil: Derived from the root of the Vetiveria zizanioides (Linn) Nash.  Due to its very musty and earthy smell said to be grounding, sensuous, and deeply calming, Vetiver is known as the “The Fragrance of the Soil.” Which we think sums it up best, making a sensible fragrance for dogs.  Used in aromatherapy applications, Vetiver is beneficial for soothing anxiety, insomnia and fatigue. When used topically Vetiver is known to protect skin against the harsh effects of environmental stressors.

Sweet Marjoram Oil: Has a sweet herbaceous aroma. It is relaxing, warming and comforting and said to help with overthinking and worry. It is also great for muscular aches and pains. Recorded as far back as Ancient Egypt, it is famed for its healing properties. We love the earthy aroma,  thought to be favourable to dogs.
