St. Hippolyt Glucogard 3kg (Equine)

Vital substance complex for the natural regulation of sugar and insulin metabolism

  £42.75

The correct assessment of energy requirements presents many horse owners with a difficult task. A high energy supply due to too much crib food or fresh grass can have fatal consequences, especially for horses that are originally adjusted to poor living conditions. Lack of exercise and continuous overfeeding strain carbohydrate metabolism.

  • To supplement the nutrients of overweight horses and metabolic derailments
  • Mineral supplementation during the grazing season and for pure roughage rations
  • Supports insulin metabolism
  • With natural antioxidants

For horses with overweight and metabolic changes, a low-grain and thus low-carbohydrate diet is required. However, if pure hay and straw feeding is used, the need for specifically required minerals and functional nutrients cannot be sufficiently covered. In addition to a balanced spectrum of micronutrients, Glucogard also provides antioxidants and plant protective nutrients that counteract such deficiency situations.

Suitable for Laminitis Prone Horses

Counteracts nutrient deficiencies which may contribute to insulin deficiencies, reduced blood circulation and damage to the tissue in the hoof complex.

Blood Sugar Levels under Control

Thanks to its functional nutrients, Glucogard can make an important contribution in this respect. The glucose and insulin metabolism depends on the B complex vitamins and minerals such as magensium, zinc, manganese and trivalent chromisum, among other things. Cell-protective vital substances such as vitamin E and selenium contribute to the integrity of the insulin molecules and the protection of the hoof corium exposed to inflammation. Nutrients from brewer's yeast and certain fodder herbs additionally support the insulin in controlling the blood sugar levels.

Protection of the Hoof Complex

In the early stages, the development of laminitis is promoted by irregular blood circulation. The structures of the epidermal laminae and corium are degraded under the influence of inflammatory processes. Certain functional nutrients now play a key role. They are required to contribute to a sufficient blood flow to keep the inflammation under control. If these substances are not supplied by feeding in sufficient quantity, the bdy's resilience against the outbreak of laminitis will be weakened. Glucogard provides natural antioxidants and plant-based protective nutrients which counteract such deficiency situations. Thus, Glucogard can contribute to maintaining a healthy hoof complex in a natural way.
